There was a really good sale on strawberries at Von's.
So we bought a bunch for lunches, snacks, & salads. Then we went back and bought some more to make freezer jam. While the girls washed & sliced the strawberries, we put the boys to work smashing the strawberries. They thought it would be more fun to smash it themselves instead of using the food processor.
The best part was adding all the SUGAR. One of the kids commented, "No wonder we like jam; we like sugar!"
