As tradition holds in our family, we go camping during spring break at Red Rock. We were thrilled that the weather seemed to be warming up. The forecast predicted the high to be in 80's. I was looking forward to a great weekend outdoors. While the air was warm, the forecast didn't prepare us for the wind. We anticipated 'light breezes.' Instead, at night we were subjected to huge gusts of wind which were strong enough to fold our tents in on us. Dad added more stakes and yet the tents threatened to collapse. Following the Cahill's lead, at 3am I gave up and took the younger children to the van where we slept in peace.
