This was an incredibly fun vacation as a family. This was the first time for the kids to be on a cruise, and they were not disappointed. These are some photos exploring the ship and saying goodbye to Florida as we sail off into the sunset.
The kids went to Camp Carnival a few short times for activities. E attended some game nights at the teen place, "Circle C."
We spent a lot of time at the pool....
Our first night we attended a party for families. Both J and Dad won the dance off competition for their categories. J couldn't believe he earned a trophy.
One of the perks of cruising is all the food (that Mom doesn't have to prepare or clean up after!) They prefered to eat dinner in the dining room so they could finish their meal with a Warm Chocolate Melting Cake for dessert. Sometimes we ate breakfast or lunch by the pool, in our rooms via room service, or at a buffet. So many choices!
This was the kids favorite deck....most of the restaurants and buffets were here. But, most importantly, the ice cream machine was open 24/7. J renamed it the "ice cream deck." They were tickled to be allowed to eat ice cream as part of their breakfast & later as a midnight snack. Since we were only a few floors down from the "ice cream deck", most of the time we opted to take the stairs. Can you find M? She is in the white circle standing on our floor.
The highlight of our evenings were returning to our rooms after dinner to see which towel animal awaited us. Later we attended a class to learn how to make our own. I am sure we will have a future post on that.
Here are some of the friendly Carnival crew we got to know.
