L.O.T.F.

E volunteered each week in the Leaders Of The Future program at Cambridge Community Center.   Each summer, community centers accept applications for volunteer positions.  E passed his interview with flying colors and was hired to 'work' at Cambridge. His assigned tasks varied from day to day. Most days he was assisting the kids in the day camp. (They loved when he taught them how to make keychains out of lacing cords.)  Other days he sat at the front desk answering phones, filing, and organizing.  It was good for him to serve others while learning new skills.  The L.O.T.F. program has some great perks that we didn't know about. His supervisor took the volunteers to lunch several times, field trips for fun activities, bowling, etc.  We were thankful he was willing to set aside time during the summer to volunteer. What a great teen!
