This has almost been a year in the making. Last spring, M tried out and successfully made it to the middle school cheer squad. Her cheer coach called her first with the good news because M had the highest number of 'points' earned during the tryout. Yay! She stays after school three days a week to learn cheers, review chants, and practice stunts. Although the basketball season for which she cheers (both the boys' and the girls' game) is just beginning, she has enjoyed being a flyer and making new friends.
