Majestic. Beautiful. Breathtaking.
These were our thoughts while visiting the Grand Canyon South Rim. It truly is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Mom especially loved the sunsets as the the colors of the canyon changed. The kids loved the bike ride the best. We biked to Hermit's Rest. As K was leading our family along the bike path a deer came onto the path. We all braked hard in an effort not to crash, and then stared in silence at the deer only a few feet in front of us. Later we encountered lots of deer along the road. Dad's favorite activity was hiking. We hiked bits of the Bright Angel trail. We also attended a night ranger program so the kids could all earn their Junior Ranger badges.
