Love, love, love this teen. He is spunky and hard working. We went all out celebrating this guy!
On his actual birthday we set up a treasure hunt. To make it more exciting, he had to drive around the neighborhood and perform challenges at certain houses for the clues. For example, he delivered a singing telegram "Happy Birthday" to another boy who shares his birthday. Hee hee. :)
We held his "Amazing Race" themed party at an outdoor mall on the weekend. His friends were divided into groups to solve clues for directions and completed tasks. They were good sports to be out in the heat and play along.
This first origami challenge was the hardest.
This was the most favorite leg of the race. The teams dressed up with silly props and then took photos in a nearby Photo Booth.
Upon completing this final challenge, the clue would direct teams to the pit stop at the I Love Burgers Restaurant. Before they could check in, everyone wrote a birthday message to E on the chalk wall. We put all their pictures into a slide show to display after dinner.
What a ton of fun!!
We couldn't have done it without the help of our challenge hosts.
We are so blessed to have wonderful friends. We also appreciate Grandpa coming to help.
As everyone waited for their food to arrive we played a game using a questionnaire: "How well do you know E?" It asked 16 multiple choice/true or false questions.
The very last question asked, "Who was E's first kiss?"
The very last question asked, "Who was E's first kiss?"
We revealed the answer to this question with the photo below:
Zoe kissed E when he was 2 years old.

We love you E!!!
