The kids have been asking for bunk beds for more than a year now. The girls' old twin bed set can actually stack to make bunk beds, but seem a little unstable when stacked. Maybe the beds were a little shaky because my kids are so wild!! Anyway, after a couple of weeks as bunk beds, we took them apart and just left them as twin beds. That was years ago! So, I told the kids if they could consistently make their beds to show they could be responsible, they could earn new bunk beds. Lo and behold, it worked. Our Little Diva would even do extra chores and help her younger brother. Then she'd come up to me and ask, "Was that 're- ponsible'? Can I have a bunk bed now?"
We found a really good deal at KidzBedz on Rainbow. They were liquidating their inventory so they could sell furniture exclusively online. We ordered a dresser for the boys room, since it wasn't in stock. Kelly, at KidzBedz, is awesome. She was able to expedite the order so the dresser arrived earlier. Our order would be delivered on Saturday, instead of Wednesday. So early Saturday morning, Dad took the kids to the park, while I waited at home for the delivery. The kids came around the corner and saw the huge delivery van. Surprise! They dropped their bikes in the driveway and ran upstairs. Yippee!!
