The Better To See You With

Since we received a letter from the school nurse stating that during a routine eye exam for 2nd graders, our daughter had some trouble, we made an appointment with the Optometrist. During the eye exam, Dr. Li  asked our daughter what she liked to do in her spare time. Her answers included, "reading, crafts, and making cookies." His response was, "I had a feeling you were a bookworm."

She is near-sighted and requires glasses for distance. Apparently reading for prolonged periods of time with out breaks strengthens the eye muscles for seeing things up close and weakens eyes for seeing things further away.  Hmm, we have a lot of bookworms in our family!  So.....we brought in the older two for eye exams.  Sure enough, they also had an ever so slight challenge reading the bottom row on the test chart.

After the diagnosis we shopped for frames. Here we are a week later with their new looks.
