Keystone Trail

We went on a short 2.5 mile hike on the Keystone Trail at Red Rock.
There was an elevation gain of 800 feet heading out.  The good news is that the way back was all down hill!

Someone built a mini floorplan of a house out of the small chips of sandstone.  It made the perfect resting spot.

On the way back we ran into two surprises.  The first was a herd of big horn sheep.  We watched them graze on the brush and quietly continued on our way.

The second surprise was running into another standard size poodle.  Buster met Minnie, a red standard poodle, who was 7 years old. I am sure their friendly barks scared away any of the big horn sheep that were in the area. :)
