At a recent Scout campout, The boys launched rockets they had built during their youth night activity. E couldn't stop talking about the rockets, the launches, how far they went, the parachutes, etc. J got caught up in the excitement and asked Dad if he could make one. Since Dad had made quite a few rockets of his own while in his youth, he was easily convinced. He got his hands on a rocket kit the next day! Although J chose the colors for the rocket, Dad mostly did the assembling, gluing, and painting. He's a kid at heart. Early Saturday morning, we headed to the park to witness the lift off.

They each took turns counting down and pushing the button to launch the rocket.....blastoff!
We were also amused by the kids running after the rocket to find it's landing spot. With almost a dozen rocket launches they got in some running exercise this morning! I made them take a quick picture all together before we headed home.
