The kids were not super enthused to be doing yard work again. What? The grass keeps growing? Why is it a surprise that the grass needs to be mowed every week? (Just like the bathrooms also need to be cleaned weekly..shocking!) However, once the kids get going they are pretty good workers. Our task this weekend, in addition to the lawn, was to replace some of the dead plants in our front yard. If you give a boy a shovel, he will dig a hole. We just had to point them in the right direction.
While the boys dug holes, the girls swept out the garage. We moved as much as we could out of the garage. This included the shoes, random lumber, bottled water, bikes, scooters, camping chairs, etc. They worked pretty hard getting everything done.
After all the hard work, they were thankful for some fun time. Sara suggested a quick playtime at the park. The water feature was just what they needed. Yay!
