back to school

 Our children made it through the first week of school.  Whew!  We still are not used to the early schedules.  E is ready, cello in hand, for another year at Hyde Park.  As a student in the Math & Science Academy, his classes begin at 6:50 a.m.  Since it's on the other side of town, he leaves the house shortly after 6:00. Goodness!! He looks forward to orchestra & math class.

The rest of clan are all at the same school, Steele Elementary.  Our new start time is 7:50 am.  (Last year we started at 9:15)  As a night owl, (not a morning person), this has been a little of a challenge to get everyone to school.  On the first day of school, we were walking down the ramp as the classes were walking to class.  Oops!  We did getter better in the week and even rode our bikes to school on Friday.

M has the same teacher from her previous year in 4th grade, again this year for 5th grade, Ms. Lott.

Our most favorite kindergarten teacher....Mrs. Meldrum.

Both our daughters are alumni of Mrs. Meldrum's kindergarten class. We love her to pieces!  J is well acquainted with her from our years of volunteering in her class.
