After reading about our friends in Houston, the Thompson's, running a 5K with their two young kiddos, we looked it up online to see if we could sign up our own children. Imagine our luck when we realized The Color Run would indeed be coming to our city in two months! We registered as Team "Family of Six." Each Saturday in January we walked the neighborhood with progressive distances as training. Sometimes it felt like we were dragging them along. Hah! At least they were prepared. The run was good once we got started.
We began the 5K with clean white tees.

This was what we looked like at the end. We're so proud of them. It was the most fun we've ever had exercising! Although they didn't mind the walking, they thought that spraying the color looked like fun. Perhaps we'll be volunteers for the race next time.
