Three of the orchestra groups from E's middle school competed at the WorldStrides Heritage Performance in San Diego. E played with the Ensemble group Friday afternoon. Grandpa and Grandma were able to make the performance. (It was conveniently located only ten miles from their home!) E was able to come with us to Old Town for the evening before rejoining his school friends at their hotel. All the orchestra (and choir) students spent the next day at Sea World. Later, after the awards ceremony we all headed home together. His school came home with 16 awards and trophies. E's Ensemble orchestra earned a gold plaque. Congratulations!!
