Digging for gold was probably the highlight of visiting the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center. It has changed so much since I was a youth. (I attended a youth conference meeting on the back lawn one year.) The displays are very, very interactive. You've got to go to experience it yourself!
The kids begged Grandpa and Grandma to 'ride' in the wagon.
The boys also enjoyed dressing up as soldiers as part of the learning experience. So fun! Later we walked around Old Town, did a little window shopping and ate at Cafe Coyote. The kids enjoyed watching the cooks make the warm, fresh tortillas. Yum!
