Elf Yourself

Our elementary school holds several donation drives during December to encourage students to reach out to other less fortunate. The class who brings in the most 'donations' (christmas stockings filled with goodies) receives a visit from Mrs. Claus (the principal) who brings cookies & milk. She also reads them a Chistmas story. Mrs. Claus always is assisted by student elves. K was randomly chosen to be one of the elves this year. What a treat!

Big thanks to our Assistant Principal, Mr. Tony Davis, who provided all the pictures. I didn't know she had the opportunity to be an elf she was telling me about her day when I picked her up after school. Before I started the van, she handed me a manila envelope....Mr. Davis had printed out the above pictures & even included a CD of the digital images. So, not only did he take pictures of the great event, he also printed them, for me to gush over. Thank you, thank you.

Out of the Mouth of Babes

This conversation happened at Kneaders: "I am going to save the rest of this dessert for later." "You mean, so you can eat it in 5 minutes?"
"I didn't know poop could be so fun." Comments after a junior ranger activity held at Cedar Breaks National Park. The junior rangers were looking through owl scat to discover what the owl had eaten. Their owl ate a small rodent. :)
Overheard while riding in the car with E driving, "Should I be wearing a helmet?" "I'm too young to die."
We were discussing clean language and words to avoid. Someone spoke up and mentioned that they heard a student at school say the "B" word. We asked them to spell the forbidden word: BULK. We quickly told them that word was okay to use.
After a presentation, one of our children told their sibling, "I love you. Now, go sit down."
