It's official, we have a teenager in the house!
For his birthday we lucked out! He had asked if he and some friends could play laser tag at Battle Blast. Later, we found out that he could play for FREE and receive additional passes to play for free. The catch....you had to play at five in the morning! He didn't mind one bit. He asked a couple of friends if they wouldn't mind waking up early to play....they agreed. So Dad, a true early bird, drove E with his friends to play laser tag from 5 am to 7 am. They loved it.
(Battle Blast needed people in the arena while channel 8 was filming for the "live news feed." E said he made sure to walk in back of the reporter while he was recording.) Battle Blast gave each attendee 3 more passes to come back and play again for being such good sports to come in early.
Wa-hoo!
Turns out Krispy Kreme was also hosting a special deal for their 75th Birthday Celebration. So, after laser tag the boys went to Krispy Kreme...buy a dozen, get the next dozen for .75.
The rest of the day was spent playing his new-to-him xbox. The one game he has coveted was Minecraft. Although we have it as an app, it's so much more involved on the xbox. He and his cousins spent hours 'building' together.
