Elevation 9,800 Feet

With the forecast calling for beautiful sunny skies, we headed for the slopes. It's been more than a year since we've been to Brianhead (as the kids repeatedly reminded us during the past winter break). It was nice to be back. We spent the day chasing kids down the mountain. They are fast! After a few trips down the mountain as a family, some were itching for speed. E & M kept each other company while Dad trailed behind J. Mom was paired with K. Thankfully, K is a more conservative skier. She prefers to zig zag down the mountain at a more gentle pace. The rest of our group heads straight down and doesn't look back.  As we passed each other riding up the lift, we'd shout down hellos to the siblings zipping by below.  With no line at Chair 4, there was no limit to checking out each of the trails. To pass the time riding up the lift, K and Mom played a game to tally the number of snowboarders (Mom's team) vs. skiers (K's team). Surprisingly, there were always more skiers.

Nothing like a cup of (free) hot chocolate to warm you up.
