Wood Crafting

We painted some wooden things. M chose some chicks sitting in eggs. The younger kids helped to paint the letters P, I, and parts of the N. Later during a girls nights with Tara,  I painted the rest of the letters in the word "Spring".  (Tara painted and glittered cute eggs.) Then I painted little wooden bunnies to give away. I think Tara may have gotten us addicted to these little wooden crafts....we already bought some wooden words for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Here is a cool story about M. When she and I went to the WoodConnection store to see what we could pickup for decorations we were looking for a cute word to paint for the season.  I didn't want to buy the words "Luck" or "Easter" because then I'd only get to use them for a couple of weeks each. My super creative daughter began mixing and matching the wooden letters with different fonts to spell "Spring."  Two other customers in the store liked what she had put together. They also bought the exact same combination of letters.  As we were checking out, the owner said she was going to copy M creation as well! She complimented M on her crafty work. Fun stuff!
