This is the before picture. The weather was nice enough to play outside. While we were in the backyard, I noticed how wildly overgrown some of the trees appeared. After a quick search on google for "how to prune trees" I went to work.
The boys didn't miss a beat. They also 'went to work.' J began dragging the fallen branches across the yard with his scooter to E. E chopped the branches down further for use as firewood or to be tied in bundles for the trash. It was nice to see them help in their own creative way.
This is an after picture of the fuji apple tree. I might of gone a little crazy with the saw!
This is the best part: J built a 'tree house' against the side wall with all the extra branches from the african sumac tree. Later, he spent half an hour doing his homework inside his little 'house.'
