Reading Week

Reading week provides a break from uniforms and a chance to dress up. This day, the students were to dress as a book character. J chose his most favorite book character. He has read almost every book in the Nate the Great series. He was too cute with his magnifying glass. K went with something easy that we happened to have on hand...Wenda from Where's Waldo?

On another day, the students were asked to dress up as "what they want to be when the grow up." K wants to be a veterinarian. To make sure other students would know she wasn't just a doctors, but an animal doctor, she put a stuffed animal in her lab coat pocket. That was simple enough.
J was another story. At first, he told me he was a business man.  He laid out his suit and tie to wear to school. He also put some fake money sticking out of his suit coat pocket. The next morning, when his teacher asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he answered with a very straight face, "A billionaire." She cracked up. Love that kid!

Middle school also had a dress as your favorite character day. Since no one from her elementary school class is at her middle school, M dressed as Hermoine from Harry Potter, again.

During hat day at the middle school, E wore this crazy big wolf cap. Silly!
