Luckily for us, the weather has been nice during this track break. We went to Red Springs (I think it used to be called Calico Basin) for a picnic lunch with the Cahill's and brought along our neighbor. The kids walked, skipped, and ran around the boardwalk in their usual excitement. They worked up quite an appetite. After lunch, we went on a short hike. The three older boys took turns being the line leader and were very good about stopping every once in awhile to allow the younger boys to catch up. Meanwhile, the girls were content to make up songs for everyone to sing as we hiked! :) All of them enjoyed scrambling up the rocks to find secret caves and places to hide. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
