Although he didn't win this year, our cub scout had a great time. We weren't sure if we were going to be in town for the Pinewood Derby due to our trip to Legoland. Turns out, our trip was moved up and we would be here for the Pinewood Derby. So, on the week of the Pinewood Derby we ran to Michaels to buy a kit and quickly put a 'tank' together. Our younger son also used a kit to make a skateboard which he raced in the 'Outlaws Divison.' He attached a toy monkey to the skateboard, with a rubberband as a seatbelt. He received a lot of attention whenever it was the monkey's turn to race. It's our last race until our youngest becomes a cub scout in a few years.
